Land of 10,000 Cobs

Isn’t it great to be living in the “Land of 10,000 Cobs”?  August is one of the best months at Pahl’s Market.  We are finally able to offer our delicious sweet corn to you.  These first few varieties have been very tasty.  Making it even better is our corn drive thru!  If you are pressed for time and just want that dozen to take home for dinner, nothing is sweeter than our drive thru.  But may I suggest you park and check out all the fresh homegrown produce that is filling our market.  Juicy tomatoes, snappy green beans, crisp cucumbers, fabulous cabbage and more are waiting for you.  We are also harvesting our beautiful green peppers! Potatoes, onions, garlic, and fresh fruits like watermelon, grapes, plums, peaches, lemons and limes can be found in our cooler and on our shelves.

This year our Annual Corn Fest will be on Saturday, August 16^th.  It will be our 19^th year of serving Pahl’s fresh homegrown sweet corn.  What better way is there to spend a Saturday afternoon than letting us cook and serve you what we are so proud of.  Wait, let me make it better, it is all FREE to you, our wonderful and loyal customers!  From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM we will be serving steaming hot corn on the cob oozing with butter.  Once again you will be entertained by the music of Dave Hudson.  We encourage your participation with a donation to Piper Breast Center.  There will be a donation jar available for you.  Supporting breast cancer research is something we feel strongly about as we employ some wonderful women who are breast cancer survivors.

Before you leave check out some of the gift items we have at great prices.  It won’t be long and we will be getting out our fall decorating items.  I know, I know, it seems like summer flew by.  Maybe I should say summer floated away with the rain that we saw early on.  Next month will bring our Harvest Days.  We are planning another fun filled weekend on September 20^th-21^st so mark your calendars.
