Corn on the cob, fresh fruits and vegetables, the state fair, cool summer nights, bonfires, and mosquitoes all remind me of summer. For much of you it is probably the same. The only difference is that my Dad and my Uncle Brian have grown all vegetables that I enjoy every summer. Not to worry, now you can share in the same luxury that I have had the privilege of my entire life.
It’s June and time is limited to signing up for Pahl Farms CSA program. If you are not aware of how a CSA program works it is essentially partnering with a farmer and in return receiving a fresh box of produce each week for 16 weeks during the summer and fall months. We have over 25 pick-up locations across the metro, spanning as far north as Elk River, as far west as Shakopee, and as far east as Woodbury.
The season starts the last day of June. By the time the program is all said and done you will have received 4 delicious packages of meat from Von Hanson’s Meats, 4 loafs of bread from Great Harvest Bread, 5 Harvest events experiences for the whole family, canning and freezing opportunities, and freshly grown produce for 16 weeks with recipes to go along with it.
