Mark your calendar for February 13th! That is the date of our first workshop for 2016. Our Plant A Seed Workshop continues to grow in popularity each year. We offer two different seminar times. At 10:00 AM is a FREE workshop geared for children. We talk about the journey that a seed takes from germination to maturity. The kids will plant a green bean seed and take it home with them to watch it grow. Our seminar for adults is at 11:30 AM. We will discuss starting seeds for spring. When to start specific plant seeds, growing medium, container types, light and watering needs, and how to prepare your tender plants to make their transition to the great outdoors. You will then plant your choice of a tomato or green pepper plant. Your first seed, soil and container is FREE OF CHARGE! Any additional seeds that you would like to plant will have a nominal cost of $2.00 each. We will keep your plantings and germinate them in the warmth of our greenhouse. You are also welcome to take them home with you if you prefer. We then ask that you pick up your seedlings by Saturday, April 23rd to take home to continue growing. Our seeds for the 2016 season have arrived! The seeds that we carry are from Burpee and Botanical Interest. Our spring seed starting supplies are available as well. In stock we have fiber pots, fiber pellets, seed starting trays and more. Stop by and begin growing your vegetables and flowers from seed.

On Saturday, February 13th we will be open from 9AM-2PM just for you. We will have beautiful fresh cut roses and flowers in stock for your sweetie. Our sign up for Moss Basket Days is now open. This year the dates are Saturday March 12th, Tuesday March 15th, and Saturday March 19th. Join the party! Get dirt under your fingernails! Dream of spring! This is a fun event and an annual tradition for many of our loyal friends. You plant the flower plugs and we will take loving care of them until the beginning of May.
