Time to Sleep

November is always a month of being thankful and rejoicing that the growing season has come and gone.  Planning has already begun for next year and multiple pieces of equipment are fixed or being retrofitted for the coming year.  As we all know the years seem to come and go quicker with this year’s fall being no exception.  As I sit and write this month’s newsletter we are loading our last cabbage to be shipped and we shipped our last squash last week.  The fall tillage has been done for a couple of weeks and the buffers have polished up three of our 27 tractors that we use during the course of the year.

With Thanksgiving just finishing up we have plenty of things to be thankful for around here.  Our families are healthy, our staff has done a tremendous job throughout the course of the year and we had no hail like last year!  We continue to be great stewards of the land so the next generation (6th) can enjoy the fruits of their labor.  We strive to provide great customer service and be at competitive prices for our wonderful customers that help pay all the bills.  This past year we employed over 150 people part time, seasonal, and 15 full time employees which we are sincerely grateful for.  They bear the same core values and sacrifice numerous things to bring their talents for our customers in providing healthy, nutritional food to our table throughout the course of the year.  My hat is off to each of these individuals that make this company what it is today.  May this coming Holiday season provide each of you Peace and Happiness.

God Bless!
