Miraculous Changes
April is always an exciting month for me in the greenhouse. The chaos really begins, space starts to become none existent, more and more people start to come in with excitement, and the colors seem to miraculously change overnight.

Seventy –Eight years ago my dad was 6 years old and had to learn how to crank their brand new A-Farmall. It was the first gas powered tractor of the family and the end of the team of horses, the year was 1939.

In the Spring of ’17
We started planting in the greenhouse two weeks ago and our first round of vegetable transplant seedlings will begin on schedule March 6th with green and red cabbage. We will also seed cauliflower, broccoli and kale that week plus some herbs.
Spring Joy
All of the smells that I love about spring are slowly coming back since we started planting on February 13th, officially kicking off our year.
Winter Thrills: Red-Stemmed Dogwood
What’s that stand of bright red branches poking out of the snow? It’s one of the lesser known winter thrills, dogwood shrubs with fiery stems.
