July News From the Farm
Well, what hasn’t floated away is looking pretty darn good. One thing about Mother Nature, it never gives you a chance to rest. We started harvesting some items for the CSA program and things are going great.

July brings yet another month of change in our market building. We make room for the farm fresh produce that begins arriving from our fields. What could be better than a farmer’s market every day of the week! Our produce wins the taste test hands down. Your family’s health will benefit from the wide variety of our delicious and tasty fresh vegetables and fruits.

Welcome to sunny July. Here we go with the height of summer. Barbecues, root beer floats, smores, and colorful gardens. Life is good!
In July we begin to enjoy the benefits of our spring garden chores. Your annual flowers should be thriving and beautiful, and your vegetable gardens will be bringing food to the table.
July Plant of the Month
The species Lonicera is commonly known to our customers as Honeysuckle and is known to them as a hardy vine or a flowering shrub. A new variety of Honeysuckle, Lonicera caerulea var. kamtschatica, a fruiting variety, is making a name for itself after being introduced to American markets.

I was 5 years old when my grandma taught me how to bag corn. Starting at about age 10 I started being the popcorn girl and working the pop station at CornFest. I suppose if you count all of that, I have been working at Pahl’s for about 15 years.
Pahl’s Annual Tractor Show
We are finally enjoying some beautiful weather! Memorial Day was stunning and we are hoping for more of the same this month. We like to celebrate Father’s Day with a Tractor Show both Saturday June 14th and Sunday June 15th. There are tractors that cover 75 years of Pahl family farming that will be on display in our parking lot. Stroll our lot and see the vintage and modern day tractors. Remember to bring your camera along for some great photo opportunities.
2022 CSA Enrollment Now Open
Each box will contain fruits and/or vegetables at peak harvest season for that week. Each share also comes with a $20 gift certificate to Great Harvest Bread Company and a $20 gift card to Von Hanson Meats with the first share box! All member options include weekly share boxes and access to special Harvest Events.
