News from the Farmer

by | Sep 10, 2014 | CSA Member Updates, News from the Farmer

Plenty of rain last night is making things twice as difficult in the field. Wet clothes, muddy boots and stuck tractors are common place today. Crops such as green beans and cucumbers are soon to be done, they have given us what they can and we have harvested all that we could. Corn season will be coming to a close by the end of this month or the beginning of the next month. Squash, pumpkins, corn shocks and all of our favorite fall crops will soon take over the picking schedule. We can only hope for a dry and sunny Fall to aid in a quick and easy harvest. We hope to see many of you at our Harvest Days event towards the end of the month.  I will be there to take all of your questions and concerns and to fill in some details on what to expect for the 2015 season. Stay dry!
