The Standard and Family size share boxes will each receive cherry tomatoes.
Generally available year-round, the peak season for cherry tomatoes is, of course, the summer months. The perfect cherry tomato is firm, thin and smooth-skinned, with its flavor being a balance of sweet and tart. Offering the same nutritional value as the traditional beefsteak tomatoes, cherry tomatoes are high in fiber and Vitamin C. They also contain sizeable amounts of Vitamin B-6, which helps our bodies metabolize protein and supports brain function and cognitive development. In addition, you’ll find Vitamin A present in cherry tomatoes, which aids in producing white blood cells and keeps the heart, lungs and kidneys working properly.
Store unripened cherry tomatoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, for 2-3 days or until ripe and ready to use. At that time, they can be refrigerated and should be used within a couple of days.
