White or Bi-color Sweet Corn

by | Aug 24, 2013 | Market News

This week some of our members will receive white sweet corn and others will receive bi-color.
Wrapped in tightly layered pale lime green to white husks, white sweet corn is a fun variety to try. Both the kernels and the milk of white corn are creamy white in color. Cook for only a few minutes to retain the best flavor and texture. White corn can be blanched, steamed, pureed, roasted, or grilled. It is also delicious in pasta or salads. White sweet corn can be stored in the husks in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. For optimum flavor and nutrition, it should be eaten within a couple of days.
