Time sure does fly when you’re savoring the fresh produce nature has to offer. We should embark on this week’s culinary adventure with hearts open and taste buds ready, igniting sparks of excitement in our kitchens and a sense of togetherness in our community.  Let’s dive in!

Say hello to Poblano peppers, the new kids on the block in your shares this week! These peppers are culinary chameleons, ready to lend their smoky, mild heat to your dishes. From chiles rellenos to Poblano-packed pasta sauces, the possibilities are endless. Let your taste buds roam as you experiment with this versatile pepper.  Poblano peppers may be new to some, they are milder than jalapenos and are often prepared with a variety of stuffing. The recipe titled “Baked Chile Rellenos” features delicious Poblano peppers and sweet corn. Feel free to substitute another cheese for those listed.  Friendly reminder: always use plastic gloves when handling peppers and avoid touching the eye area.

The red jewels of the season are back again to tempt your taste buds – strawberries! Their sweet allure is matched only by their short shelf life. As before, make the most of these delicate berries by inspecting for any moldy ones and indulging promptly.

There’s nothing quite like sinking your teeth into the juiciness of freshly harvested sweet corn, bursting with natural sweetness.
