The scarlet lily beetle is bright to dark red with a black under side. They are found in Europe and some parts of Asia and were brought to North America through trade.

Lily Beetles will do considerable damage to their host plants. Scarlet lily beetles will lay her eggs on the underside of a plant. The beetle will go through four phases of life. The beetle will eat the host plant the entire time and this may lead to premature leaf drop, wilting or lily gray mold.
