Pet Haven Dog Meet & Greet

Pet Haven is proud to be Minnesota’s first foster-based animal rescue organization.

Founded in 1952, Pet Haven helps dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. They provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.  Through in-home fostering, knowledge is gained about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, they can then find the right family for each dog and cat.

Pet Haven volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care, and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, Pet Haven encourages others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
