Briefly describe your job duties at Pahl’s:
I work in the greenhouse helping our customers with their selections. Some customers have challenges (lighting or flower preferences), we figure it out!
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Seeing the smile on our guests face after we have put a design together. Some will stop back in to tell me how great it turned out!
Tell us about your family.
My husband Doug and I will be married 42 years this year. Our oldest son Matt and his wife Rachel live in Shakopee. Our youngest son Brett, his wife Lindsey and their 3 year old son Brendan live a mile from us in Lakeville.
What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year? Why?
I love early mornings in May, working in my garden. I don’t have a favorite day – they are all good!
What is your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
Indoor – sewing and quilting
Outdoor – gardening and camping
What is the farthest you have been away from home? Tell us the most unique experience from that trip?
Japan, I was a rookie flight attendant for Northwest Airlines and the veteran flight attendants took my roommate and me to eat. NO ONE would say what we ate – It wasn’t fish but there were a lot of pets in the area.
What are three things on your “Bucket List” ?
1. Travel to Germany, Switzerland, Austria & Italy

3. To be a really good quilter, can always learn more
What do you miss most about being a kid?
The carefree days of summer, spending all day and evening at the community pool and when I was a teenager – going out to the lake.
If you could learn to do anything what would it be?
I’d like to master my embroidery machine – it still scares me!
What was the first thing you bought with your own money?
A stereo – lots of 45’s and albums to play!
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick to be your mentor? Why?
I have several friends who by their being remind me to learn something new each day, enjoy life, be kind and find humor in our daily lives..
If you won the lottery what is the first thing you would do?
Pick up the family and head to Hawaii for an extended vacation!

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
Saying goodbye to my mom for the last time. Six weeks later I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, which was successfully operated on – it was quite a time.
