Join us on Saturday, August 9th for one of two informative and engaging seminars. You can choose between Session 1 at 10:00 AM or Session 2 at 1:00 PM, held right here at the market.
These family-friendly seminars are a wonderful way to deepen your appreciation for Monarchs and learn how to support their populations. We will guide you through the full life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly, from egg to caterpillar, chrysalis to butterfly.
For those interested in helping Monarchs thrive, we’ll share tips on how to raise Monarchs at home, including what to feed them, how to care for caterpillars and chrysalises, and the best practices for safely releasing adult butterflies. We’ll also talk about the most beneficial plants to grow in your garden to create a habitat that supports Monarchs throughout their life cycle.
As a special bonus, guests who bring a plastic pint container (4–5″ deep) — like a deli container — will have the chance to take home a live caterpillar or chrysalis, while supplies last. It’s a hands-on way to get involved and make a meaningful impact in Monarch conservation.
