Me, enter a photo contest?  The answer is YES!  Pahl’s annual “Something for Every Season” photo contest is fun and it is so easy to participate.  You don’t need a fancy camera, just a creative eye.  We have been told that some entries were taken with the person’s phone, and they are stunning!  The photos that you submit will be on our website and on our Facebook page to wow your friends and family, so really everyone who enters is a winner.  It gets better though!  If your photo is chosen to be featured in our calendar, not only do you get copies of the calendar, you also get a $25 gift card to Pahl’s Market.  If your photo is chosen for the calendar cover, you will receive a $100 gift card to Pahl’s Market!  The prize will DOUBLE if your winning photo has something purchased from Pahl’s in photo and/or photo was taken at a Pahl’s event.  So unleash your inner photographer and get snapping!  The 2019 “Something for Every Season” calendar will be for sale at Pahl’s Market in November 2018.

Contest Details

Now is your chance to show off your photography skills and become a part of Pahl’s calendar. Our calendar highlights life in Minnesota and celebrates our wonderful seasons. The 12 winning photographs will be featured in our next “Something for Every Season” calendar. The winners will receive a Pahl’s gift card and additional copies of the calendar to share with family and friends. Each month has a theme related to it. The prize will DOUBLE if your winning photo has something purchased from Pahl’s in photo and/or photo was taken at a Pahl’s event.  BE CREATIVE!


  • January – winter scenery
  • February – wild animals
  • March – Pahl’s related; plants-events-products-etc
  • April – birds
  • May – flowers
  • June – insects; bees-butterflies-etc
  • July – water related; lakes-fountains-streams-rain-etc
  • August – harvest/farming
  • September – apples/barns
  • October – pumpkins
  • November – fall colors
  • December – Christmas/Holiday season

Contest Rules

  • Each contestant may submit one photograph, taken in Minnesota, in each month’s theme. The photos do not have to be taken in that month as long as they follow the theme of the month. Example: April theme is birds. It could be a photo taken of a bird or birds in July or December.
  • Photos submitted of places outside of Minnesota will not be accepted.
  • The photos must be originals, in color, without photo shopping or enhancing.    
  • Submit digital ready photo in JPEG format. (No print submissions will be accepted.)
  • We recommend a horizontal layout for superior printing on calendar.
  • All photographs are non-returnable and become the property of Pahl’s Market.
  • Pahl’s reserves the right to publish any photo, including print and electronic.
  • All entries must be copyright free and be available to be published in the calendar without restrictions.
  • No purchase necessary. Must have parental consent if under 18 years of age.
  • Entries must be submitted no later than midnight on September 30, 2018.
  • Twelve (12) winning photos will be selected to represent each month in the Pahl’s calendar.
  • Each contestant may only have one winning photograph per calendar.
  • Winning photographs will be announced in October on our website at . Photos will be used in the Pahl’s Market calendar for 2019 and the calendar will be for sale starting in November.
  • One Grand Prize winner will be chosen from these 12 monthly winners.
  • The Grand Prize winner will receive a $100 Pahl’s Gift Card plus five free calendars.
  • The Twelve (12) will receive a $25 Pahl’s Gift Card plus two free calendars.
  • The prize will DOUBLE if your winning photo has something purchased from Pahl’s in photo and/or photo was taken at a Pahl’s event.
