News from the field this week can be described in one word. WET. Last nights rain set the stage for a muddy battle out in the fields today. Tractors spinning, boots getting stuck in the mud and rain falling all the while made for an interesting day to say the least. Somehow through it all we prevail and though it may take longer and be more labor intensive, we still manage to get out produce out of the field and into the packing house. On a lighter note, sugar cube mini cantaloupe are making an appearance this week along with bulb onions. The farm is in high gear as of now and regardless of heat and rain we continue to push on because one thing is for sure, just because the weather is less than perfect the vegetables still continue to grow.
Have a wonderful share week!
