My usual spring routine, regarding all my needs for our landscape, was to hit every greenhouse south of the Minnesota river. Never could find it all in one location. That process changed about three years ago.
I spent four hours at Pahls this past Friday, ambling about the various green houses and outdoor areas. Yes, I did use their online plant library BEFORE I went there. I was amazed when I found items I needed to finish the landscaping design for a new tea house we added last year! All the grasses, Asian shrubs and trees…such as, the Flowering Almond, that I was quite sure I would have to go to THAT place over in St. Paul to find….I found at Pahls.

No, I don’t work there. I’m simply an aging gardener that truly appreciates the plant varieties, creative work and very helpful staff working at Pahls. Bottom line? Don’t take my word for it. Go there! They’ll have some hot, FREE popcorn waiting. I LOVE THE POPCORN.
