Welcome to the 2015 Pahl Farms CSA Season!
We’ve had a fantastic response to the program this year! Our thanks go out to you all for the support and for sharing in the harvest, it is going to be a great season!
Enrollment is now officially closed and on the administrative side we are working on putting together the final numbers, verifying location lists, and getting set up for the weekly newsletters. On the farm side, things are progressing nicely. Cole, Jack and their crews are busy sun up to well past sun down taking care of the crops!
First share box dates are scheduled for Wednesday, June 24th and Thursday June 25th! Weekly CSA newsletters will be emailed (and available on our website) starting Tuesday, June 23rd and will continue every Tuesday throughout the entire 20 week CSA season. The newsletters will include a note from the farmer, an idea of what to expect in your share box and recipe ideas. It will also include your membership information, such as pick up date, shareholder name, share type and pick-up location. If you are splitting a share or have multiple people taking turns picking up the shares, please always give the shareholder name listed on the weekly CSA newsletter.
Food Preservation Harvest Event
The first Harvest Event is scheduled for Saturday, June 20th, and will be a seminar held at Pahl’s Market. There will be two options to attend, 10am or 1pm, and we will be discussing the upcoming season and how to get the most out of your CSA share. Registration is not required for this seminar.
Pahl Farms offers a unique addition to our CSA Program through our partnerships with Von Hanson Meats and Great Harvest Bread Company to offer quality meats and fresh baked breads in your share boxes once a month!
