Enrollment for the 2018 season is now open to new members! Don’t miss out on fresh homegrown produce, straight from our fields to your table.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs allow residents to have direct access to high quality, fresh produce grown locally. At its heart a Community Supported Agriculture program revolves around a meaningful relationship between a farmer, a set of farm members, and a piece of farmland. Members receive a share box of fresh produce rather than individually selected items. In exchange members agree before the season begins to invest in the farming operation, supporting the farmer as well as their production methods. Advantages of Joining a CSA:
Farmers get to spend time marketing the food early in the year before their 16 hour days in the field begin. They also have the unique opportunity to meet the people who eat the food they grow.
Customers get to eat ultra-fresh food with all the flavor and nutritional benefits. CSA Members also develop a relationship with the farmer who grows their food and learns more about how their food is grown.
Harvest Events are exclusively for our CSA members. It is a way for you to connect to “your” farm and an opportunity to ask the farmer questions and learn more about how your food is grown. It also allows us at Pahls to get to know the wonderful people that share our harvest!
Pahl Farms offers a unique addition to our CSA program by partnering with Von Hanson’s Meats. Once a month in July, August, September and October you will receive quality meats in your share box. We have also partnered with Great Harvest Bread Company to offer fresh baked bread in your share box once a month in July, August, September and October.
Place a mushroom share order with your CSA! Mushroom shares are $80 for TWO 1/2 pound mushroom deliveries each month in July, August, September and October. To give you an idea, that is a little more than 18 containers of the white button mushrooms you’d purchase at a grocery store – only these are not your ordinary white button mushrooms and they are definitely not from a grocery store! Delicious, fresh from the woods varieties such as Nebrodini, King Trumpet and Wild MN Chanterelles delivered right with your share box rather than having to visit a fancy restaurant.
