By the time February rolls around we begin to tire of the cold winter days and our thoughts turn to springtime – and our gardens! We are starting a new event here at Pahl’s Market to ease your spring fever until Moss Basket Days! Join us Saturday, February 9th for our first annual Pahl’s Market Plant a Seed Workshop.
Enjoy a seminar about growing plants from seed; learn how seeds germinate and how to care for the young plants. Choose to plant either a tomato or pepper seed for free (additional seed plantings will be $1) and we will care for your seeds in our greenhouses. You can pick up the young plants near the end of February, once they are thriving! The workshop will begin at 11:00am – everyone is welcome to join us!
We will be open from 9:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, February 9th and have a great selection of seed packets available to plant at home!

Once we roll into March is it time to get our hands dirty! Everyone agrees that our annual Moss Basket Days are a sure sign of Spring. This hands-on event allows you to design and plant your very own Moss Basket in the warmth of our greenhouse. Our knowledgeable staff is available to assist you through the entire process and will “plant sit” your unique basket until early May. Choose from hundreds of different plants, colors, shade or sun. Bring your friends and enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments while you plant. They make excellent Mother’s Day gifts!
