This week’s produce deal is a special one. In addition to enjoying peak season sweet corn, you’ll also be supporting a powerful cause—a portion of every sale will be donated to breast cancer research. From now through Sunday, Pahl’s is offering our MN-grown sweet corn for $4 per dozen, and for each dozen sold, $1 will be donated to VraniCURE, a Minnesota-based nonprofit dedicated to advancing metastatic breast cancer research and supporting those affected by the disease.
VraniCURE was founded by Jacquelyn Vranicar, a metastatic breast cancer (MBC) thriver, with a mission to fund critical research, raise awareness, and provide comfort to patients navigating their cancer journey. Despite MBC accounting for 90% of breast cancer fatalities, only about 3% of breast cancer research funding goes toward metastatic cases. Since launching in 2021, VraniCURE has raised over $300,000 to support life saving research at institutions like MD Anderson and Johns Hopkins. Through its vraniCARE program, the organization also delivers care totes—filled with thoughtful items like cozy blankets, journals, and personal care items—to patients across Minnesota and beyond. One of their biggest annual fundraisers, the 2025 vraniCURE BASH, will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Chaska Event Center, featuring live music, fun games for all ages, silent and live auctions, dinner, and exclusive merch.
