How are you supposed to trim Goldmound Spirea?

How are you supposed to trim back GOLDMOUND SPIREA? Do you just cut back the ends or cut them off at grouond level for new growth?�

You can cut them back to about 6″ in early spring before new growth starts.  If you do it after the buds/foliage appear it can effect this years flowering.  After they flower, you can cut them back again this will produce additional flowers.  Good Luck!
