News from the Farmer

I know for many people Fall is not something to look forward to, but for me, it is time to start thinking about the harvest ahead.  Pumpkins in the field are beginning to ripen and turn orange, squash is almost ready to harvest and slowly but surely Fall is creeping in.  It is safe to say Fall is my favorite time of year, especially mid October.  Cool air, a more relaxed atmosphere in the fields, and you cannot beat the Fall colors!  Maybe it is too soon to be bringing up the change of seasons, but for us, preparation and staying ahead of the game is very important.  Fall around the Farm is nothing short of exciting, and I am starting to look forward to that time of year once again, keeping in mind that it will be here before we know it.  I am sure that fall time in the CSA program is something our shareholders can look forward to!
