Dee’s Corner

Never did it cross my mind that week 16, 2021 would be the last installment of Dee’s Corner in our weekly CSA newsletter.  Many of us worked with Dee for a decade or more, and her passing will leave a hole in the hearts of our Pahl’s Market family that will never be filled. Her work with our CSA customers over the years brought a great sense of community to the program.  She would share a piece of herself, through her stories and experiences, with those that share in our harvest every season.  The way Dee was able to form bonds through being kind and eager to help people was inspiring.  She would greet our CSA members week after week, many by name, and with ease she would make them feel welcomed and appreciated.  She was a bright light to even those that didn’t know her well, and so many people mentioned how they will miss her warmth, her beautiful smile, and her delicious recipes. A lot of things won’t be the same without Dee, but a lot of things are so much better for having known her.  Moving forward we say a heartfelt goodbye to Dee’s Corner and starting next week we welcome back News from the Farm.
