We got a very late start this season due to the extremely strange spring weather we had and were not able to start our season this year until later in April compared to March the previous year. Normally, we try to work until Thanksgiving and this year we were pretty close to that date. The past two years definitely showed the extremes of weather we can deal with here in Minnesota. Regardless of the curveball Mother Nature threw at us this past season, our hard working landscape crew was still able to complete over 200 landscape projects.
Our landscape jobs ranged in size from small residential Softscaping (plants, etc.) projects to much larger complete design and installation combination of Hardscapes (pavers, retaining walls, etc.) and Softscapes. Make sure you check out next months landscape article as we will discuss further what is meant when landscapers discuss Softscapes and Hardscapes.
During our busiest months we had 18 hard working landscapers using their skills to keep up with our customer’s demands. Our diverse crew seasonal workers came from as far as Guatemala and Mexico. Our college boys came back home to work for the summer and then back to study hard in Arizona, Wisconsin and many different universities throughout Minnesota. Our full time guys are still around cleaning up and repairing equipment we used and getting all ready for the 2014 season. Some of them will even work plowing snow throughout the winter (white gold they claim).
We are already gearing up for the 2014 season and hope we can help you beautify your landscape. It’s never too early to start planning your next landscape project especially if you have a graduation next spring. Let us help you design and install your next project regardless how small or big. We offer free local estimates, on-site or in-house consults, and designs.
