Bouncy Pumpkin

Employee Name: Bouncy Pumpkin

Number of years of service at Pahl’s: 20

Briefly describe your job duties at Pahl’s:
Well, I only work for 31 days a year but I sure get a workout in that 31 days.  I am responsible for making sure all of our youngest visitors (45” and shorter!) have a blast here at Pahl’s during pumpkin season.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Of course, seeing the kids smiling faces is the obvious answer.  But it is always fun when the wind picks up and the market employees try to hold me down by my straps.

Tell us about your family:
I used to have a brother, the haunted house, but he suffered a terrible tear in lining of his outer layer and it couldn’t be repaired.  I have a couple of cousins that work at Pahl’s, the corn pit and the straw maze, but they get to be in the greenhouse where it’s warm and dry so I don’t see them much.

What is your favorite dayof the week? Why?
Oh, Saturday’s for sure!  Time goes by in the blink of my pumpkin eye because that’s when most of the kids come and visit me.

What is your favorite activity?
I get to let a big breath out when the parents hold my door open too long checking on their kids.

What is the farthest you have been away from home?
Last year I took a trip north across pottery lane… there were a few ceramic casualties.

What are three things on your “Bucket List” ?
1.  Move indoors to be by my cousins
2.  Travel further north past the evergreens
3.  Talk my employers into scheduling me starting in September

What was the first thing you bought with your own money?
Pumpkin seeds

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick to be your mentor? Why?
The pumpkin from Cinderalla!  I would love to be able to turn into a carriage and save the day!

Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
The Great Pumpkin from Charlie Brown

What is your all-time favorite movie?
Halloween

What song do you play the most often?
The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead
