Briefly describe your job duties at Pahl’s:
Meet with the customer to come up with a design that best suits their needs. I also work and help out on the job site. Make sure everything goes as planned and the customers are happy with the final project.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The guys I work with and spending time with them. Meeting with the customers and fulfilling there needs and making sure they are satisfied with their landscape.
Tell us about your family?
My parents, Charlie and Joan, both live in my hometown of Carroll, Iowa. I have three siblings, two sisters that live in Des Moines, Iowa and one brother that lives in Lakeville, Minnesota. I have two nieces and three Nephews.
What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year? Why?
My favorite time of the year is summer because I like to be active be outdoors. I like to play softball, spend time golfing and enjoying time on the lake. My favorite day of the week is Saturday because it’s time I can spend time with family and friends. November is my favorite month because I like to go hunting, watch football “Go Hawks”, and it’s the beginning of wrestling season.
What is your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
My favorite outdoor activities would be spending time at my dad’s lake cabin, golfing, playing softball, going to baseball and football games, and going hunting and fishing. My favorite indoor activities are trying new restaurants, bowling, watching movies, and coaching wrestling for a local High School.
What is the farthest you have been away from home?
Every year I travel and watch the NCAA wrestling tournament and been able to travel to five different states to watch the Hawkeye’s.
I have been to Mexico twice once to Cancun and Puerto Vallarta. My Favorite trip was with my family to Puerto Vallarta, we were able to go Parasailing, snorkeling, and just have a fun time on the beach.
What are three things on your “Bucket List”?
1. Go on a bear hunt, Moose hunt, and be on hunting show
2. Travel to Germany
3. Someday get married and have kids
What do you miss most about being a kid?
Not having the responsibilities as an adult, and just being able to play all day long.
What was the first thing you bought with your own money?
A Laffy Taffy!
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick to be your mentor? Why?
Dan Gable because he is someone I have looked up to as a kid and all through my life. Just by listening to him you can learn a lot of life lessons and learn how to overcome things when times get difficult.
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Take all my family and friends on a trip.
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
Unfortunately I am one of a kind.
What is your all time favorite movie?
Dumb and dumber, it can always make me laugh and puts me in a good mood!
What song do you play the most often?
We Rode in Trucks by Luke Bryan
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
Losing my Grandpa and my dog in the same week.
