Yes, the frost is officially on the fairies. Where did summer go? It went as all summers do, to a beautiful Autumn and a chilly time ahead. Fairies don’t particularly like being cold, so I have a few good ideas for you to continue the fun through the entire year.
What about an indoor fairy display or garden? I have two larger houses that I just brought indoors. I made layers of Styrofoam for elevation changes and draped the whole area with a soft green burlap. I placed the houses and then began the task of adding the accessories that I thought would complete each area. With Styrofoam as the base I had something to anchor the fairies into. Fences and bridges and all the small things I used outdoors came in as well.
For Autumn I am placing a few decorations, but am looking ahead to play with all kinds of Christmas accents. The two houses I brought in light up and make a cozy display at night. I plan on using many items I already have from years past as holiday accessories. I had so much fun making my outdoor garden this year that I knew those fairies would find a place in my home. Yours would appreciate the warmth of your house and the talent of your creativity too! At Pahl’s we have enjoyed talking to and helping many folks choose fairy items all year. We will continue to have “fairy garden”
gifts to purchase through the Christmas season. I have ordered many wonderful new items for next Spring so stay tuned for what is coming next year.
Fairy gardening is fun, imaginative, creative, and a charming way to welcome folks over for holiday gatherings. Bring your garden indoors and enjoy it all year long. Warm fairies are happy fairies… The ones I brought indoors are having a great time!
