Personally I love the fall with the leaves turning colors and the cool mornings that make that cup of Hazelnut coffee at Holiday taste exceptionally good. Pumpkin harvest is in full swing providing we can get them out in between the rain showers and the heavy dew that seems to last until noon some mornings.

This is by far my favorite time of the year, and easily my favorite month! Hunting season is upon up and with the cool mornings it feels great to bundle up. Not only is it my favorite month, but around Pahl’s there is everything a person could ask for.
When we start slinging pumpkins every day and the mornings are cool you sense we are on the home stretch for getting things out of the field.
October is a beautiful month, full of color and great tradition. We see Autumn decorations on many front porches and Halloween décor too. Actually, Halloween is second only to Christmas in decorations.
I think everyone agrees that we have had enough rain these past few months, unless you are a duck. Record amounts of rainfall in our area of the metro has wreaked havoc on the progression of harvesting vegetables.
Nothing makes me happier than the color orange. Why? Well for one thing my wife looks fabulous in the color and secondly I know the harvest season is on the final turn and the joy of a pumpkin field that brings excitement to the kids. To see children running from one pumpkin to the next out in the field is one of the neatest things a farmer can watch.
The time has finally come. This is my favorite time of the year, where mornings are crisp and you can see your breath. These cool sunny days make my job so much easier and I wish Fall could stay forever.
Let me tell you why we love the month of October at Pahl’s. It is the kids, young and old who embrace the fun of pumpkin time. We like to kick off the month with our Fall Festival on October 3rd and 4th. Our favorite attraction is the Corn Pit.
