We had a great turnout at our first Harvest Event. Jack spoke about our plans for the upcoming CSA season and answered questions. Gary gave us an overview of the new greenhouses and explained what is currently growing in them. They then turned our attention to Mike from Gentleman Forager, who shared his passion for mushrooms. The fragrance of the mushrooms cooking was intoxicating! He explained how they were being prepared – so simply, just a little butter, rosemary, and thyme. We were all able to sample them at the end of the presentation. It was hard to wait! They were absolutely delicious and we are all looking forward to the opportunity to order them from him on a regular basis.
