News from the Farmer

July 5, 2016

I hope that all of our CSA members had a wonderful and safe Fourth of July weekend celebrating our country’s 240th birthday!  Hopefully some of your fresh homegrown vegetables made their way into your celebrations this past weekend.  Now as the dust settles and we transition back into our normal weekly routines, a new CSA week has dawned.  The fields are growing in full swing and many of the early crops are ready to go – including rutabaga, which makes its way onto the scene this week.  Our colorful and delicious Easter egg mix radishes will also be in this week’s share box, a new and exciting variety for 2016!  Soon enough most all of our vegetables will be in season and the share weeks will take on a new spin, with new varieties and trusty ones being picked and packed fresh every week.  After all, variety is the spice of life!

Have a wonderful farm share week!
