Pick Up Locations

Remember if you are unable to pick up your share box, please have someone pick it up for you. All share boxes not picked up will be donated. There will be a sign off list at each drop off location, and either you or your designated person will be asked to sign off on that week’s share box list.

Harvest Highlights: Week 4 CSA News & Updates

Welcome to Week 4 CSA Members, let’s unpack the goodness that awaits us this week!

Get ready to indulge your taste buds with the irresistible sweetness and flavor of a summer favorite. That’s right, sweet corn is ready and making its’ first appearance in our share boxes this week. Our farmers have been working tirelessly to cultivate the finest homegrown sweet corn around, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. Get your taste buds revved up for an explosion of flavor and crunch as these early bi-color cobs are filled with sweet, tender kernels.

It is also the first harvest of another highly anticipated item this season, the refreshing and versatile cucumber! Cucumbers are one of those quintessential summer delights that bring a crisp and cooling element to any dish. They’re incredibly versatile and can be enjoyed in salads, sandwiches, or even as a standalone snack. We are always happy to share family recipes with our CSA members, this recipe for a quick and delightful treat comes from Mary Winum (Jane Pahl’s Mom), Cucumbers in Sauce. If you have any favorite family recipes to share, they are always welcome!

Beets, Red Cabbage and Red Potatoes round out the new additions to the share boxes this week. Did you know if you click on the images of the various items listed under “What to Expect in Your Share Box” you will find a description of the item and related recipes? It could come in handy when using items that might be new to you, or for finding new ideas for items you might be tiring of. For example, clicking on Beets would lead you to discover this amazing Roasted Beet Hummus recipe. Give it a try!

Looking forward, we don’t have the exact date and time just yet but we wanted to give you a heads-up that the Green Bean Pick field should be ready next week. The farmers are carefully monitoring the green beans’ growth, ensuring that they reach their peak flavor and tenderness before we schedule the Harvest Event. Rest assured that we will promptly update you with all the necessary details once we have determined the exact date and time of the Green Bean Pick. Keep an eye on your email, as we will send out a follow-up announcement with the specifics.
