Welcome to Week 1 of the 2026 CSA Season! 🌱
The wait is over, your first CSA share of the season is here! We’re excited to kick off another summer of fresh, local produce and are grateful you’ve chosen to spend the growing season with us. Your support helps sustain local farming, and we can’t wait to share the harvest with you each week.
Your first pickup takes place this week, and your box is filled with some of the season’s earliest favorites. Once you bring your share home, we recommend unpacking it as soon as possible. Freshly harvested produce stays at its best when stored properly, so take a few minutes to sort through your items and get everything tucked away in the refrigerator or another cool storage area. If you’re unsure about an item, check the photos and descriptions in this newsletter for guidance. And remember, it’s best to wait to wash your produce until you’re ready to use it.
Don’t Forget Your Gift Cards! 🎁
Included with your first share are two $20 gift cards from our local business partners. You’ll find them in a labeled envelope at your pickup location. Be sure to grab your envelope before leaving, as lost or misplaced gift cards cannot be replaced.
Stay Connected All Season Long 📬
Our weekly CSA emails are designed to help you get the most from your share. Each newsletter includes harvest updates, produce information, storage tips, recipes, farm news, and reminders about upcoming events. We encourage you to give them a quick read each week, you might discover a new favorite vegetable or recipe along the way!
What’s in This Week’s Box? 🥕🥬🍅
We’re starting the season with a colorful mix of early-summer produce. This week’s share includes bok choy, radishes, rhubarb, kohlrabi, tomatoes, and, if harvest conditions cooperate, zucchini/yellow squash.
Whether you’re tossing together fresh salads, roasting vegetables for dinner, or baking a batch of rhubarb crisp, there’s plenty to enjoy in this first harvest of the season.
If you’re new to our CSA program, welcome! Each week we’ll include a collection of simple, dependable recipes featuring the items in your box. They’re especially helpful for vegetables that may be less familiar, like bok choy or kohlrabi. Recipe links can be found at the end of the newsletter and are a great way to discover new ideas while making the most of your share.
Here’s to a wonderful season of fresh food, good eating, and a successful harvest. We’re glad you’re here!
